The plug connector consists of a plug with contact pins and a correct insertion lug, as well as of a socket with appropriate contacts. A pilot socket is fitted with a correct insertion groove and has a control conductor to a contactor for the phase lines. The control conductor has a bridging interruptor contact on the main socket side of the pilot socket, this contact being broken by a spring force with the plug removed and made by the plug insertion. The pilot socket (6) is arranged as an extension of the correct insertion groove (7), and is fitted with a contact trip for the interruptor contact (9). The trip protrudes into the correct insertion groove and is compressible by the correct insertion lug (3) on the plug (1). Pref. the contact trip is in the form of an insulating pin with a counter bearing (11) for a compression spring (12), surrounding the same and abutting the pilot socket.
