The wallpaper glue applicator has a rotary adhesion roller on a horizontal axis, dipping for part of its periphery into a glue trough, and over which the wallpaper is passed. The roller is divided into longitudinal sections (5-10), which can be coupled so as to turn together as desired, typically by dogs engaging in recesses in neighbouring sections, when two section are slid together. The design allows only part of the roller sections to be used, and thus wallpaper of differing widths to be conveniently handled.
