The child's sledge (1) comprises a seat, whose backrest (3) extends the full height of the child and is releasably secured (4,5) to the skid assembly. The seat may be used as a child's safety seat in a motorcar. The sledge may be provided with a squab (2) shaped to fit the underside of the seat or may itself be shaped to fit a standard car safety seat.
