Cutting shears for sheet metal profiles - are used for cutting permanent corner pieces designed to reinforce facing plaster on corners of buildings

The profiles consist esp. of L-shaped corner pieces, i.e. the cross-section of the sheet contains a 90 deg. bend. The shears consist of a lower die forming an anvil on which the profile is placed while it is sheared to a specific length by an upper knife. The lower die is pref. fixed to a horizontal baseplate with a hinge for a lever arm on which the shear knife is mounted. The lower die pref. contains a slot entered by the shear knife to make a sharp cut, and may possess either an inverted 'V' or an inverted 'U' profile. There is a baseplate (6) which carries an interchangeable anvil (2) with an inverted, 90 deg. 'V'-shaped top surface (4) contg. a slot entered by a shear knife (1). On its baseplate (6) there is a hinge for a lever arm (6'). The detachable and interchangeable knife (1) has a profile corresp. with the top surface of the anvil (2).
