The pallet arrangement is intended for carrying a load (1) on a pallet, which is then moved from e.g. a loading platform into a railway wagon, a container, or the like. The load deck of the car, or container, is provided with rails, on which rollers fitted to the underside of the pallet. During transport the pallet remains on the load deck and is held in position by a locking mechanism. The pallet may have further rollers capable of running on a surface without any rails. The rail rollers may consist of chains known as round way bearings.
