The skis are made in two halves cut on an angle of 45o and connected together for skiing by a locking device in the form of two sheet metal section plates (1,2) which are connected together by hollow rivets (3) which form the centre of rotation. The sheet metal plates are each firmly screwed to a ski half and can slide over each other through concentric impressions (2) so that the skis are stable in both the folded and extended positions. With the skis unfolded into the position of use the resilient mounted locking mechanism (4) offers three positions for engaging the hooped bar (6) which is rotatably mounted in the side edges (5) of the locking part (2). The ski boot is now pressed onto the front metal pin to be securely fixed.
