Coin release mechanism with economical stepper switch actuation - has extension shaft with inclined face controlling ratchet release

A can-operated mechanism for games machines has a stepper switch arrangement actuated for each operation without the use of an additional rod and special rack. This is achieved whilst retaining the single play facility. The extended shaft of a stepper switching mechanism is arranged below the ratchet actuating wheel. The shaft has a surface inclined upwards at its free end and resting on the wheel and a downward projecting tongue. The tongue is deflected by the upper section of a coin so that the inclined surface of the shaft extension holds the ratchet in the release position so long as the stepper switch mechanism is not reset. The coin release mechanism also contains a front plate; an aluminium cast frame and a coin tester.
