The process for rapidly restoring a roadway or similar, to a serviceable condition, is esp. applicable to landing strips in airfields rendered unusable by bomb craters. For the top load bearing layer use is made of a mineral substrate with a high degree of setting hard within half an hour. Deep craters, in the lower area may be filled with earth or bulk material, and in the upper area with ballast, pref. with the cast material passing through the latter and ending flat at the top.
