Composite foil coated structured noise insulating panel - has rigid metal mesh embedded between plastics panel and foil

A spherically, pyramidally or waffle-structured surface, and a sound insulating foil cemented to the rear side, are incorporated in a sound-absorbing plastic panel, structured on one side. This panel is used as cladding in industrial buildings or machine installations. The panel (4) has a flexurally rigid inlay of stretched metal (6) embedded in it, extending right across it, between the sound-absorbing panel (4) and the foil (5). This can be a mat of building steel, pref. made up from loosely intersecting lattice rods (7). It can be located in grooves (8) on the rear side. This permits construction of a protective hood or cubicle, self-supporting and of simple structure.
