The clutch is released via a hydraulic piston/cylinder unit (1) and engaged via spring bias. A switch (6) is operated by the piston (2) or piston rod (3) of the piston/cylinder unit and can be slid parallel to the piston rod (3) via a clamp back (14) moving along a guide rod (5). The position of the switch (6) is adjusted by a lever (7) attached to the piston rod (3). Pref. the switch (6) has a reed contact operated by the piston (2) and controlling a valve (11) for the piston/cylinder unit (1). The guide rod (5) for the clamp back (14) is attached to the outside of the piston/cylinder unit (1) and the switch (6) is slid along by adjustment of a screw (8) fitted to the end of the lever (7). The clutch allows the shift of the engagement point due to wear to be compensated.
