To avoid interruption of the rail current cupply when two pairs of rails cross each other, and also to eliminate the repeated impacts of the guide and wiper pins at these points, a very thin turntable is provided on which there are mounted four pairs of connection rails. The distance between the inwards facing connection rails ia a little larger than the track width of the wheels of the vehicle. The turntable may be turned by manually or mechanically. The connection between the fixed rail pieces and the turntable rail piece is constituted by the conductive tapes the ends of which are concave, while the corresp. connector portions have spring-loaded contact pins. This also aids the mechanical alignment of the respective rail portions for one or the other rail line.
