摘要
Steel door frames consisting of a lintel and two jamb posts are usually assembled by welding and then transported to the building site. In order to ensure that the frame retains its correct shape it is necessary to provide special equipment to protect it during transport and storage. These difficulties are overcome by making the lintel (1) and jamb posts (2) separately. Both members have similar cross-sections which are generally U-shaped. The lintel has a tongue (13) which projects downwards at each end and fits into a slot (21) in each of the jamb posts. Since the door frame is assembled immediately before installation on the building site, the lintel and jamb posts can be transported and stored separately so that much less space is needed.
