Flexible conductor for focussing elementary particles - comprises strip with teeth spaced according to given formula along side edges

The flexible conductor consists of a strip with teeth along its side edges. The teeth are spaced regularly along the side edges and are equal in width. The distance between the teeth is 1.5-3.5 times the width of any tooth. The height of the teeth is 0.25-0.33 times the width of the conductor. The strip is curved to follow the periphery of a cylinder with whose axis its own long axis is parallel. Several such strips may be combined on an imaginary cylinder and joined electrically at their ends. The strip can be used in h.f.circuits within transmitters and accelerators - for indicating the position of partial beams. The strip is set in a conductive,clamped ceramic plate of high precision geometry. The strip can also be used in plasma physics for forming conductive arrangements of precise, stipulated distributions of magnetic fields and precision stipulated inductances. Pluse transformers is another advantageous field of application.
