The coil supporting system, for h.f. transmitters, uses a ceramic carrier rod (3) against which can slide insulting blocks (1) carrying the coils (2). The blocks are interconnected by tetrafluorethylene rods (4) which are parallel to the carrier rod, which has a larger diameter. These blocks each have a concave surface to match the surface of the carrier rod, and a rectangular recess at the other end. The two arms forming the sides of the recess incorporate concave recesses in their edges (5) to match the curvature of the coils. In one design, three supports are equally spaced around the coil with their edges (5) projecting into the windings of the coils.
