X=Ray contrast agent aerosol for inhalation - in radiography of the central bronchial system not requiring patient anaesthesia

New device and method are claimed for producing an aerosol which can be inhaled by a patient and which after inhalation gives a radiographic contrast. In the device, temp. and pressure are so adjusted that in the atomisation appts. a droplet spectrum is produced which is suitable for representation of the central bronchial system. The aerosol can be administered to the patient without anaesthesia, and the contrast agent droplets are fully resorbable. Preferably, the aerosol produced in the atomiser appts. is concentrated by application of high voltage in an electric chamber.
