The mechanism is intended for bending and cutting standard size prefabricated concrete reinforcement meshwork (7). It comprises a base frame (1) with fixed clamp (4) to hold one end of the mesh and a radiused element (5) around which the mesh is bent by a driven (9,10) pivoted lever (8,2) having a clamp (3) to hold the other end of the mesh. A fixed blade (6) is arranged below the element (5) and the mesh. By driving the lever in the other (downward) direction, the meshwork is bent through a small radius, causing it to break.
