The machine produces butter continuously from cream by sepg. the protein casings from the fat particles, agglomeration of the latter and sepn. of buttermilk from them, continuous compression of the particles and mixing with metered water or soln. containing protein. The time taken for agglomeration and buttermilk sepn. is adjustable by varying the angle of the drum-type agglomeration and sieve zone. There can be a pipe (1) accommodating a driven auger (2) working closely inside it, between the initial butter- making cylinder (4) and the finel butter-making drum (5).
