Turntable is provided with two pattern plate carriers, one of which is in the working station of a moulding machine, whereas the other carrier is in a pattern plate changing station. Station includes sets of work cylinders with vertical axes, each set being used to lift a pattern plate out of the carrier. On each side of station is a trolley with a pillar along which a fork is driven vertically; and alongside each trolley is a magazine contg. pattern plates resting on shelves. While one set of pattern plates is being used in the moulding machine, the other set can be replaced.
