Control for stored programme in telephone exchange - uses central processor for inter module connection and front end processors for internal module switching

The central control processor comprises units which are command coupled by control information in the form of a limited number of control commands containing routing and address information. The central processor (SPU) is assigned to a message switch (MS) and one or more message buses (MB). Interconnected, command-dependent Service Processor Units (SPU) are directly or indirectly interconnected to the front end processors (TPU) of the Terminal Processor Units. All the message switches (MS), message buses (MB), and service processor modules (SPU) have hot transfer stand-by units and a marker wire control (MN) to interfaces (A) for on-line and stand-by control switching. All units in the central processor (SPM), the service processor module, are used in time division multiplex mode using multiplexer switching units.
