A seven segment LED display element is adapted to provide display of seven separate status signals relating to the operation of a process. The system is applied specifically to a blood flow system used in medical diagnosis. Sensors on two valves are coupled to two of the segments (B,C) of a seven segment display. A flow monitoring stage is coupled to a further segment (E), a valve controlling another segment (F). The remaining segments are activated to indicate that a specific flow is attained within a specified period, or that an erroneous stage is generated.
