The relatively inexpensive press-button switch unit has bridge formation switch contacts so that switch wiring can be led through the base in multiple unit arrays. The base (2) carries two contacts (10) and the wiring (15) runs between them. The switch top (3,4,5) is fastened to the base (2) and comprises a bottom (3) with a rising pyramid type shape elasticised section (4) and a flat top (5). The elasticised section (4) collapses when the button is pressed. On the underside of the top (5) is the ring or oval formation contact assembly (8,9) which is two lower sections (8), to make contact with the base contacts (10), and a bridge (9) between so that the wiring (15) has no pressure on it when the switch is operated. The top and sides (3,4,5) are a non-conducting silicon or similar plastic and the top contact bridge assembly (7,8,9) is any conducting material and possibly conducting silicon plastic. The pyramid spring section (4) may be any other suitable shape also.
