Elastic roll ring for pipe joint sealing - has annular space in half furthest from male pipe end with given wall thickness

The elastic rolling ring seals socketed pipe joints. When fitted on the male pipe end it has a first face against the pipe, a second one towards the pipe end and a third one in the opposite direction. Thus a triangular cross-section with radiused edges is provided. A rib protrudes towards the inside of the pipe from the edge between the first and second faces, its surface furthest from the pipe end being tangential to the second face. Inside the ring is an annular space, situated in the half of the ring furthest from the pipe end. The thickness of the wall between it and the second face is between 1 and 4 mm., preferably 2mm.
