The workpiece is kept in a fixed position and a rotating cutting disc removes the material from the surface. This facilitates the increase in the linear speed of the cutting disc to improve the rate of cut. A speed regulator (522) is controlled by the min. and max. cuts by the disc. The speed regulator module operates a change-over switch (506). There is a pick-up module for the speed and a counter (505), which actuates the change-over switch to change the position of the switching element (560).
