The date and hour shutter type display system uses several series of shutters which are driven automatically by mechanical means, which include a cam which is held at the end of the axis of the preceding series of shutters. The cam has a drop face at least a part of which form an angle with the cams radius. A series of shutters is driven by a toothed wheel, which is itself driven step by step by the tooth of a lever. The levers movement is controlled by another tooth which presses on the slope of a cam of the preceding series. The cam (21) is wedged on its axis in a slightly eccentric position so that at the moment of control transmission the slots (5) of the rear lever (22) presses against the cam (21) through the angle ALPHA just before normal shutter change. This causes both the last shutter of the series and the first shutter of the following series to fall change together simultaneously.
