The low voltage winding of the transformer consists of a first set of pancake coils consisting of one single turn of a flattened conductor. The high voltage winding consists of pancake coils with several turns each. The first and second coils are arranged coaxially, alternating with, and insulated from, each other. They are placed on the core central limb with about the same radial dimensions. The high voltage coils consist of two or more flat spirals mounted vertically parallel to each other, and connected in series. They have several turns in the same plane.
