The multichannel feed for notch aerials consists of a slot shunted by a capacitor on the open side. It increases the tuning range of the various frequencies without necessarily increasing the dimensions of the feeding elements. The open ended feed slot (N) is shunted by a tuning capacitor (C). The feed can also be via a frame (R) mounted on a metal structure (MS). Conducting rods perpendicular to the base and parallel to the slot sides supply the HF feed. The various feed rods are connected to a coaxial cable via a switch. They can be separated from the high frequency distribution rail.
