Treating agglomerated or non-free flowing washing powders - by mixing with a molecular sieve type zeolite

The powders comprising and organic detergent and a mineral salt which can be hydrated by the moisture in the powder, are treated by mixing with 0.5-10% of a molecular sieve type zeolite which has a hydration capacity of =10% of its weight of moisture. Used partic. for washing powders, hydration of salts tends to either make the powder agglomerate or make it less free-flowing. This tendency is increased with the lower amts. of polyphosphates used. The process recovers the affected powder, makes it free-flowing and stable to storage without affecting the detergent properties.
