Cutting animal skins for fur coats - esp. female mink to make full use of tail length

Symmetrically, one at each side of the tail, there are cut from the animal's back skin two wedge-shaped pieces which are acute-angled towards the front of the back skin. The two wedges are displaced tailwards, sewn to the sides of the tail and the two notches in the back skin are closed and sewn up. Instead of cutting out two wedges, an animal skin can be bias cut in parallel strips extending from a min-section of each side of the skin to areas between the tail and each rear leg. The strips are displaced tailwards and inwards along the bias angle, thus making full use of the tail length and reducing the max. width of the mid-section. Used for preparing animal fur skins, esp, mink, for making up into garments.
