Board game with French historical theme - has pieces moved by players over surface illustrated by historical events to collect cards and points

The board game has a theme representing events in French history over twenty centuries. The playing area is marked zones, one for each century, and each zone is sub-divided into compartments illustrating events. Players have white and black playing pieces, the former being moved in accordance with throws of special dice. The black playing piece acts as a defence for the white pieces. Depending on the results shown by the dice, and the compartment landed on, cards are collected and points gained. The events are related to a map of French provinces and the game also includes this map.
