Multicolour printing press inking mechanism - has ink vessel with variable output from narrow sections feeding grooved transfer rollers

The inking mechanism is for a printing press simultaneously printing different colours without mixing inks althrough their zones are adjacent. It comprises an ink vessel with variable output from narrow sections, the moving walls of the latter allowing inking zones down to a few millimetres wide. Transfer rollers have peripheral grooves in variable positions, the intervals between them corresponding to the width of one or more sections of the ink vessel.
