A pressure actuated switch comprises a resilient membrane (18). A skirt portion of this membrane is rigidly secured (12) to a base plate (13) defining a pressure cell (16) charged by an input pipe (14) going through the base plate. The resilient membrane bears on its external face a number of mobile contact pieces (4) which upon contact with respective pairs of fixed contacts (3) energise take-off lines (5).
