Road tanker metered filling station - has platform attached to carriage permitting horizontal and vertical movement

The road tanker is loaded from a depot station which is able to be moved vertically and horizontally above the vehicle tank. This provides for safety of operator by avoiding danger of slipping on top of tank. A platform (1) attached to a gantry (2) is moved horizontally and vertically to be above the upper part (3) of the vehicle (5) tank (4). The platform is attached to a vertical carriage (6) supported by vertical beams (7). These beams have wheels (8) on rails (11) and are driven by a motor and gearing (9) via chains (10) to be positioned horizontally. Upper and lower wheels (17, 18) permit vertical positioning by a jack (21).
