The junction box comprises a lower part or section, having channels for the insertion of shrouded or sheathed cable lead-ins, and a cap or cover press-fitted over the lower part. The box is used mainly for forming connections from contacts between the lead-ins to appts. and appliances for pyrometric measurement, and is suitable for small currents and also for heavy current installations, commercial electric installations, building installations etc. The lower part of the box is made of an insulating material and has slots communicating with the channels; there slots are used to divide up and assemble, one on top of the other, the stripped conductor wires to be connected. The insulating cover has corresponding ribs whose shape is matched to the shape of the slots.
