Prodn. includes a stage in which the intermediate prod. is heated in a liquid, in air under reduced pressure and/or in an inert gas. The intermediate prod. pref. is heated to 120-500 degrees C. for 0.5-20 hr. in a vegetable oil, whale oil, refined and modified oil from petroleum or coal, silicone oil, fluorinated oil, plasticiser, polyethylene glycol, polybiphenyl chloride, noble gas, CO2, N2 or air at under 293 mbar. The material is used esp. in vehicles with automatic transmission. The desired initial and constant coefft. of friction can be obtd.
