Extruded elastomer seal for free edge of swing door - uses elastic interaction of opposed pairs of converging flanges extending from web with edge locating strips

The seal can be mounted on the free edges of the leaves (9, 19) of a double swing door. A gap of 30 mm is required between the two edges which are both housed by a seal in the form of a moulding of an approximate 'U' section. The flanges (5, 15) are doubled by a flap (16) to accommodate masked fixing battens (B), internal angle strips (12) serving to locate door edge corners. The web has an externally convex form with a central half round groove (13) straddled by two converging flanges (14). All angles are rounded and the composite section adopts a gently curved profile before fixing.
