Recording and reading signals on magnetic tape cassette - allows microprocessor to format signals for controlling power circuits and drive circuits in larger system

A magnetic tape on a cassette is used to record and reproduce information signals for a microprocessor system which efects formatting and deformatting to permit control of power output circuits. Automatic restarting is provided in the event if an accidental stoppage. A magnetic tape in a cassette is mounted in a recorder and reader to record signals from a tele-typewriter (2) anda measuring system via an opto-electronic interface. The information is read from the tape in order to transmit it to an output circuit to drive following circuits in a larger system. A microprocessor with memories for data in transit and for the program has logic circuits coupled to it to perform formatting and deformatting of the data between it and the tape.
