Diuretic phenylthio-piperazine derivs. - prepd. from phenylthio-phthalimide and tri:fluoromethyl-thio-piperazine

Phenylthio piperazines of formula (I) are new (where n = 0, 1 or 2). (I) are prepd. by reaction of a phenyl piperazine (II) with 2-phenyl thiophthalimide (III). The reaction is carried out in a non-ionising solvent, such as toluene, pref. at the boiling point.
