The electron-optical arrangement comprises a cathode (7) followed by a control electrode (2) and a sequence of flat apertured, diaphragms forming an accelerating electrode (3), a first anode (4), a focusing electrode (5) and a second anode (6). The first anode (4) is formed by a spaced diaphragms (12, 13) electrically connected to one another and to the second anode (6). The diameters of the apertures of the electrodes (4, 5, 6) are equal to one another, and the spacing between adjacent ones of the diaphragms forming them ranges from 0.55 - 0.8 of this diameter. The invention is suitable for use with c.r.t. indicators, for example, with black-and white kinescopes and display units.
