Medicaments contg. tri:nitroglycerin and iso:sorbide di:nitrate - for treatment of coronary and pulmonary circulation disorders

Medicaments contg. 2,5 to 10 parts by weight of trinitro glycerine (I) and 1.5 to 5 parts by weight of isosorbide dinitrate (II), are new. For a 1:2 mixt. of (I) + (II), the LD50 is 332 plus or minus 40.2 mg per kg, (route and species not stated) indicating that there is no potentialisation of toxicity by administering (I) and (II) together. Compsn. is used in treatment of coronary disorders and pulmonary circulation disorders during cardiac insufficiency of coronary origin. The combination of (I) and (II) protects the patient against the risk of pulmonary oedema.
