Elastic tapes of flexible polyurethane foam for securing bandages - preferred for grip, comfort, cost to crepe or gauze tapes

Elastic tapes for bandaging, in place of "Velpean" (RTM) or "Tricosteril" (RTM), are made from strips of open-cell polyurethane foam a few mm thick. Tape is simpler, cheaper and more comfortable than conventional crepe or gauze fabric tapes, esp. where biaxial elasticity is required. Opt the foam strip is coated on one face with adhesive and/or has terminal fittings for securing the tape into a loop. Claims include foams made of polyester or polyether type polyurethane.
