derivs. of formula (I) and their salts are new (where R1 = 1-4C alkyl, allyl or 2-phenylethyl, R2 = CH2R1 or CH2NHR2 or -COR3, R1 = H, halogen, OH, alkoxy, acyloxy, carbamoyl, substd. carbamoyl, carboxy ester, tosyloxy, mesyloxy, cyano, cyanomethyl, or substd. cyanomethyl, R2 = 1-4C alkyl, pyridyl, pyrimidyl, pyrazinyl, pyridazinyl or thiazolyl, R3 = alkoxy or (substd)amino, R3 and R4 both = H or together form a double bond, R5 = H, or methyl. (I) used as alpha-adrenergic blocking agents, hypotensives, CNS depressants, antispasmodics, analgesics and antiprolactinic agents.
