Board for on site cutting roof slates - has corner feet to aid mounting slates on roof timbers

The roof slate cutting board (1) is rectangular with a foot (2) at each corner. It includes fixed (3) and adjustable straight edges and a lever (5) type hole punch. The feet are used to mount the board (1) on roof timbers. An angle iron runs along a long edge to form the fixed straight edge, being secured by bolts through spacer blocks (4) at each end and, thus, forming a slot hole (H) for a slate. One end of the angle iron may be bevelled (B) and may locate the fulcrum of a handled (6) lever (5) locating a punch spike (7). An angular adjustable second straight edge (9) may be pinned (F) to the other end of the angle iron (3), being lockable by a butterfly nut (11) traversing, a quarter circular board (1) slot hole. The straight edges serve to guide a tungsten tipped cutting spike or similar.
