The peristaltic pump includes a roller (1) driven by a motor shaft (14). A flexible flow tube (4) which carries the fluid to be pumped is arranged in a helical form with a movable support (5) of adjusting the pitch angle (A) of the helix. The relationship between the pitch angle and the flow (D) is expressed as DA=DO/Cos A where DO is the flow for a pitch angle of zero and DA is the flow for a pitch angle of A. The practical limits are determined by the length of the roller (1).
