The sampler comprises a probe (2) whose open end is closed by a gelatine film (3) which can be pierced by a catheter (4) which is slidably mounted in the probe. The other end of the catheter is mounted in a rigid tube (5) which is positioned at the proximal end of the probe. The other extremity of the catheter is mounted in another tube (6) and this tube is closed by a stopper (7). This tube receives the bronchial secretions and can be removed from the appts. and taken to the laboratory for testing. A flexible tube (8) connects the test-tube (6) to a piston and cylinder assembly (9) which sucks the samples through the catheter from the lungs.
