Invalid chair fixing to vehicle floor - uses horizontal and vertical slideways and shoes on wheel rim eccentrically locked against walls of slideways

The fixing secures an invalid chair to the floor of a public service vehicle. It has a C-section slideway (2) in the floor (3) with two conical shaped entries (4) at either end. The fixing has a T-section base (8) the upper part of the T engaging in the slideway. At the other end of the T is another slideway (9) in which slides a rod (10) with an upper curved part. This forms a stay and carries at its end shoes (14) which grip the wheel (15) and lock it. The stay is locked by an eccentric.
