The equipment transfers heat between a refrigerating agent and a separate fluid. It is esp. for heating drinking and washing water, a heat-transfer device being fixed to and inserted in the vessel contg. the fluid. The device comprises one or more heater pipes(9), whose end outside the vessel (10) is situated inside a further one (8) through which the refrigerating agent (8) flows. The two vessels are joined together by a double wall (11), through which the heater pipe passes. The filling of the pipe can be inert in relation to the fluid and the pipe can be arranged to slope towards the refrigerating vessel (8).
