The connection minimises the work required in changing a terminal where there may be seven or fourteen pairs of connections. The junction box cover is secured to the wall etc. by bolts (5) tightened from inside the box. This has an elongated and inverted 'U'shape the low part of which has a removable cover (6) allowing access to the cables. The base (2) of the 'U' is closed, except for a hole allowing entrance for the cable (3). The cover may be metal, plastics, concrete etc. The connection is equally applicable to computer installations, television etc.
