The helicopter comprises an openwork boom, fitted with wheels. A wing section (18,19) is provided in a central position on this boom and contains twin contra-rotating rotors (1), cancelling torque reaction. The engine (6) is mounted at the rear. The pilot sits within a forward cabin (7), his head (10) at approximately rotor level. The rotor aperture in the wing is controlled (12) by pivoted shutters (13). At the rear of the wing is a control flap (20) acting as the tailplane and, at the rear of the boom, is another flap (21) acting as a rudder.
