Double fabric cutter - has rotary knife mounted on alternating carriage in loom

Where the sepn. of a double fabric is effected in situ on the loom or knitting machine, to form two pile fabrics, a knife is used having a circular outline, and mounted to rotate by a 'funicular' element, on a carriage moving alternately across a transverse beam immediately behind the reed or sley. Rotating circular knife has improved duration of usefulness c.f. standard cutting tools.
