A central assembly (44) has an operating element extending from the base to a bar (45) to facilitate its operation. This assembly has a slot (46) which aligns with the delivery slot. An electromagnetic contact (52) operates when the central bar has been lowered to operate a timer (62). A cigarette is delivered after the timer period.
